Ads are the reason so much great content is free to all visitors on the Internet. Ad revenue is how some websites survive and it is important to know all of your ad options. You must be very careful where you place your ads. If you just throw them anywhere inside your content you can potentially ruin the user experience.
For this reason, it is important to insert ads after post content in WordPress. This will ensure that your content will have no interruptions. You may be asking yourself, how does this help if my website is non-profit? Well, adding a custom signature instead of ads will help your website have a more personal element. Today I will demonstrate how to add ads and a signature in WordPress posts using the Insert Post Ads plugin.
Why Will Ads Help Your Website
It is a well-known fact that ad revenue is how some websites stay up and running. For this reason, the process of placing ads has become very important to websites. You may be thinking the more ads I have the more income I will make. This has some truth, but generally, you are slowing down your website and ruining the visitor’s experience. What’s more important than the number of ads is how relevant they are to visitors and this has become much easier with the rise of Adsense. Adding Adsense to any website will improve the experience for visitors.
For this reason, there are common ad locations used by many websites. The first and possibly most common areas are on the sides. Generally, websites will use themes that leave them room for sidebars and ads. The second is at the end of the content. This is accomplished the same way as adding a signature at the end. It is something that can be automatically added at the end of every piece of written content.
Why Will Signatures Help Your Website
Signatures are very common in written content. They tell you that the author is proud and willing to take credit for their work. They let the visitors know or remind them that a real person wrote this and can make visitors feel more welcomed. They are simply meant for adding a human element to your website and are not appropriate in all situations. If you feel a signature will be a good addition to your website, then don’t hesitate to insert it after post content in WordPress.
How to Install and Use the Insert Post Ads Plugin
Today I will demonstrate how to add ads in WordPress posts using the Insert Post Ads plugin. It’s a very good plugin that will let you add ads very quickly. One of the best features is it already has automatic Google Adsense Injection. This will help you advertise the most relevant ads to your visitors. Improving their experience should always be a websites number one concern and Adsense really helps.
Let’s start by going to the plugins area of WordPress and click on the “Add New” button.
Search for Insert Post Ads in the available search box. This will pull up similar plugins that you may find useful.
Scroll down until you find the Insert Post Ads plugin and click on the “Install Now” button and activate the plugin for use.
On the left-hand admin panel click on Post Adverts and select the Settings option. This page will let you choose where you add ads.
You will see three boxes to check for Posts, Pages, and Portfolio Items. You can check any of these boxes and the plugin will add ads to those sections. Select the most appropriate options for your website. Once you have made your selections click on the “Save Settings” button.
You will also see a box underneath that will allow you to exclude CSS. This is for content creators that want to use custom CSS codes to contain ads in. You may wish to check the box and save the settings if this is something you are interested in. When you have made your selection click on the Add New option to continue.
This is where you will actually add the ad. Let’s start by naming it so it is easily identifiable if you need to make changes later on. Keep in mind this window is not exclusive to ads. The plugin may list ads as its main use but you can use it to insert signature image in posts as well instead of ads.
Next, you will want to insert an Ad or Signature in the text box. After you have filled in that area make sure you select where you want this ad to go. You can choose between before content, after a certain paragraph, and after content. I highly recommend not inserting ads into the middle of your content.
Once you have named and filled out all of the information, click on the “Publish” button to finish. You may repeat these steps to add ads at the start or in the middle if you choose to but beware of overloading your website with ads.
Congratulations, you have successfully added an ad or signature after you post. This will help generate ad revenue for your website, while not being annoying to visitors. Remember, the key is moderation with ads.

Keep Your Website for Your Visitors
It is extremely important that you have ads on your website, but do not allow them to disrupt your visitors. Odds are you have experienced the negative aspects that ads can bring, may it be too many ads, loud video ads, or those extremely intrusive ads that block your screen.
It’s important that web developers always focus their websites on visitors. If your site is not worth visiting, it doesn’t matter how many ads or what your ranking is if no one uses it. As long as you create great content with a few ads your site will flourish and you can improve your visitor’s experience by using Adsense.
Where do you place your ads on your website? Have visitors ever complained about the ads in the comments section? Do you feel Adsense improves the visitor’s experience?
