Method 1: GreenGeeks Dashboard
Enable an Addon Domain Redirect in the GreenGeeks Dashboard
- Login to your GreenGeeks Dashboard and select the Manage button next to the hosting account, on the Dashboard Homepage, or the Hosting tab.
- Click the Domains tab on the Hosting Management page, and select Redirects from the drop-down-menu.
- On the Redirect page, select the Domain to be redirected
- Fill out the Redirects To: text-box with the redirect destination.
- Confirm the Type, Domain, and Redirect To destination are all accurate, and click the Add Redirect button.
- Once the redirect is added, a confirmation Notification will appear, and you will see the redirect listed in the Manage Redirects table.
Disable an Addon Domain Redirect in the GreenGeeks Dashboard
- Login to your GreenGeeks Dashboard and select the Manage button next to the hosting account, on the Dashboard Homepage, or the Hosting tab.
- Click the Domains tab on the Hosting Management page, and select Redirects from the drop-down-menu.
- On the Redirects page, locate the Manage Redirects table at the bottom of the page, and click Delete next to the redirect to remove removed.
- Confirm that you wish to Delete this redirect by clicking the Remove Redirect button.
- After clicking Remove Redirect, the system will process the request and provide a confirmation notification
- The redirect is now removed, and will no longer be listed on the Manage Redirect table.
Method 2: cPanel
Enable an Addon Domain Redirect in cPanel
- To configure a redirect on an Addon Domain to another domain, log in to GreenGeeks and go to cPanel by clicking the “cPanel Login” button on the Dashboard, or the Hosting page.
- In the “DOMAINS” section, click the “Redirects” link or icon.
- On the Redirects page, using the drop-down box, select the Addon Domain you wish to redirect, or select ** All Public Domains ** to create a redirect for all domains on the account.
- After selecting the domain to be re-directed, enter the re-direct destination URL into the Redirects To text box.
- Verify the Type of Redirect(301/302), the Domain to be redirected, and the Redirect To destination are accurate, then click the “Add” button at the bottom.Once the process is complete, a verification notification will be shown, indicating the redirect locations.
Disable an Addon Domain Redirect
- Log in to GreenGeeks and go to cPanel by clicking the “cPanel Login” button in the “Quick Server Login” section.
- In the “DOMAINS” section, click the “Redirects” link or icon.
- On the bottom of the Redirects page, existing redirects will be listed under the “Current Redirects” heading.
- Click the Delete button next to the redirect you wish to remove.
- After clicking Delete, you will be asked to Confirm that you wish to remove the redirect selected, click the Remove Redirect button.
- After clicking Remove Redirect, allow 60-120 seconds for processing.
- Once the redirect is completely removed, a confirmation notification will be shown in cPanel.
